Emma Roberts, the famous actor, is a regular attendee of Fashion Month, but she has a special affection for the Paris shows. According to Vogue, Roberts loves the city because she feels like “time is suspended” when she is there. She finds that everything in Paris is elevated and special, including the fashion, food, and shopping. Even the worst restaurant in Paris is more vibey than any great place in LA, she says.
This week, Roberts was in Paris to attend Gabriela Hearst’s new fall 2023 collection for Chloé. Vogue was allowed to follow Roberts as she enjoyed her exciting day, which was made even more special by the fact that she brought her mother, Kelly Cunningham, along. Roberts was thrilled to be able to take her mom shopping and show her around the city. She even planned to take her to Caviar Kaspia, which she considers to be a real treat.
Roberts started her fashion-filled day in Paris with room service, where she made sure to have croissants, a mandatory item on her menu. After that, with the help of her stylists Brit and Kara Smith, hairstylist Jacob Rozenberg, and makeup artist Benjamin Puckey, she slipped into her final show-day look: a mustard-yellow leather Chloé dress. Roberts loves the color mustard and finds it hard to get it right, but she felt that this dress nailed it. She even compared it to Michelle Williams’ mustard dress at the Oscars, which she thought was so unique. The frock was also surprisingly comfortable, and Roberts loved the lace-up boots and a cream Penelope bag that she wore with it.
At Hearst’s show, Roberts sat in the front row and admired the chic and understated assortment. She loves Chloé because the looks are aspirational, yet wearable. Roberts even thinks that she could wear the outfits on the red carpet or in her daily life. Her favorite looks were the ones that emphasized the silhouette, and she loved the off-the-shoulder or turtleneck necklines. The accessories, especially the handbags, were also a highlight for Roberts, who has always loved Chloé bags and sunglasses.
After Paris Fashion Week, Roberts will be busy promoting her two new films, About Fate and Maybe I Do, which co-stars Diane Keaton as her mother. She says that working with Keaton was a bucket-list dream come true, as she is her style and acting icon. Roberts will also star in a new film called Space Cadet next year, which she describes as being very Legally Blonde if Elle Woods infiltrated NASA.
As someone who has starred in the popular Scream franchise, Roberts is excited to see the latest installment, Scream 6, in theaters this weekend. She says that she loves Scream and that the new trailer scared the shit out of her.
Overall, Roberts had a wonderful time at Paris Fashion Week, and Vogue was lucky enough to get a closer look inside her trip.
